If you're looking for a nice authentic Vietnamese meal but with a slightly hip and modern vibe. Check this place out. Tucked all the way on a rooftop of an old building (inside an alley), Mountain Retreat is definitely worth the 4 storeys climb.

Authentic Vietnamese food, with nice view from the top of an old building in the very center of Saigon. The decor of the restaurant reminds you of some rural Vietnamese houses. An interesting place.
