Alicia worked here and so, this makes the list with love. Jean Farris Winery & Bistro is a restaurant and winery located in the country side of Lexington. They are passionate about good food, wine and dining and it can be seen in the restaurant. The restaurant is in an estate which has a vineyard and farm. You will find twenty varieties of heirloom tomatoes, a variety of fresh vegetables and lots of juicy fruits which are used in their food. The entire ambience is beautifully romantic. Their menu is inspired by nature, so it is fresh and seasonal. You will get an earthy flavor in the food as it is farmed and plucked there. The Wine Bar timings differ from the dinner, please check the website for more information. Everything in Jean Farris is a labor of love from the wines to the food and that infuses passion and creativity. You will fall in love with one of Richmond's hidden gems.

They use local, fresh ingredients and serve them with the wine, beer, and spirits that speak of the region. “Hand-made” is a practice there not a philosophy. With that their menu changes several times a year, reflecting the seasons staying in time and in touch with the cycles of seasons and what is naturally available to them. A unique and intimate setting awaits you. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, they are doing a phased reopening with only cheese and sausage boards available for food options at this time. A full dinner menu is not currently offered. Please have a designated driver available for the 45-minute drive from the cabin.
