Shady Rest is the perfect place for young children to spend time enjoying the snow. Getting There: To access sledding and snow play areas at Shady Rest Park, take Saw Mill Cutoff to the parking area at Shady Rest Park.

Great place to take the dogs for a walk. You must keep them on a leash per MLPD but once you get away from the school / on a trail you should be fine. Can also take snowmobiles here, cross-country ski here, etc

Assuming there' snow, this can be a great place to take the kids for some fun in the snow that's not as crowded as Woolly's Snow Park. Shady Rest is the perfect place for young children to spend time enjoying the snow. With gentle slopes and quiet, wooded areas, families can allow little ones to get a taste for sledding or building snowmen.
