Built by the WPC . Beautiful gem of the NW! Historic highway is amazing, and awe inspiring...Even if you just drive it... Multiple water falls, with short hikes. Multnomah falls is the last big one, gift shop, restaurant.
From here there is a stunning view of the Columbia River Gorge and the building is all marble and stained glass. Very unique and beautiful.
Spectacularly situated... I don't know what the building is for, actually... but it's very cool, and you can continue down the Historic Columbia River Highway to visit the various falls and trails.
Well for first time visitors a trip down the old Scenic Highway past Crown Point is a must. Check in as Covid and Mud Slides has put a damper on what is open and how to get there but include this in your lists of must see along with Multnomah Falls.
