If you want to taste what a good home cooked meal taste like in Kentucky, go to Cracker Barrel. I have never had a bad meal there in over 30 years of dining with them. It is comfort food with a country atmosphere. A third of the restaurant is a cute country store. Great for picking up a souvenir or two. If you want a true southern meal, try the country fried steak with sawmill gravy, dumplings, macaroni and cheese and green beans with some buttermilk biscuits and a sweet tea with lemon to wash it all down. YUM!
