This fun little trail is a 5 mile loop that crosses a stream several times. Late summer the water is low but during spring the stream is rushing! The west access point is a 5 min drive down i70 West (exit Chief Hosa), this one has the actual brook. Going to the east access point (windy saddle park) does not have the brook, but great views!

Great easy, but heart-pumping day hike 40 minutes outside of Denver. Typically heavily trafficked, so get there early to get a parking spot.

close to the city (30-40min drive), a little challenging (some rocks to climb, not flat terrain), shade from trees, a creek runs through it. Good for hot days. you can modify the mileage for your experience level.

Probably my favorite hike in Golden. An out and back that goes about 10 miles one way, but go as much or little as you like. One of the few well shaded trails in Golden. A little scrambling is required on this trail.
