There is a Moxie Bread co location in North Boulder that is very close to our house! It has excellent bread (both gluten free and regular) as well as pastries etc.

The Hungry Toad is a pub that is easy to get to (5 minutes drive) and is really family friendly. The food is tasty and has comfort food as well as healthier options. I wouldn't say they are known for their healthy food though!

This is a fabulous Mexican restaurant. They use local, humanely raised meats and make all dishes from scratch. The food is fabulous and a favorite is the enchiladas! Great happy hour from 4-5:30. They have limited, covered outdoor seating.

The leaf is an amazing vegetarian restaurant. It is hard to get into so I would recommend a reservation, but if you go early or late you could squeeze in potentially. I love their vegetarian buffalo tacos!

I love the Boulder Farmer's Market. It runs early April through September (google it to confirm dates) but has a lot of crafty items, food, and flowers, artwork etc.

If you have kids and want to go swimming, the north boulder rec center has a good indoor pool with a zero-depth entry for little ones. There is a big slide for older kids and a lap pool if you want to swim laps. It is very close to the house - 5 minute drive.

This is a beautiful state park that is very close to Boulder (~25min drive from the house). You will have to pay to get into the park but there is world class climbing - if you go during the spring/summer/fall you are definitely going to see some climbing. There is hiking and a lovely river as well.
