Amazing walking and cycling trails. Good lunch, tea and coffee at the two cafes or take a picnic and eat in the grounds. Pay for parking unless you are a national trust member. Same for entrance to the house.
I would recommend looking around the house, there are so many rooms to see and they are beautiful. Particularly loved the various kitchens, interesting if you like cooking!

Four trail walks that loop you back to the beginning. Varying from easy to a little more challenging. You can also take your bikes and go on the cycling trails. Beautiful pine woods with a river running through and great views. Also a sweet cafe, information centre, loos and dog wash area. There is a big car park. £2.00 for a few hours or £5.00 for the day, but check the Forestry England website for up to date information.
