Short, easy round trip for nature at its best, and it's dog friendly! You and your furry friend can walk through a fairy land of trees and flowers in this 2.5 mile loop to Glen's View, which has lookout points for both the desert and the ocean.

The lake is welcoming in all the seasons...these pictures were taken in the winter, but in spring, wildflowers abound, and in summer, there is fishing and boating for all ages. And for the fall season, there are numerous varieties of fruit trees that bear the most delicious and flavorful apples you've ever tasted!

And for the fall season, there are numerous varieties of fruit trees that bear the most delicious and flavorful apples you've ever tasted!
Neighborhoods
There is a fantastic lookout point that features the desert, including views of the Salton Sea on a clear day. And it's just a 1/2 of a mile short walk from the cottage on Volcan View Drive.
Directions from Cottage: Head north on Ridge Trail, and then a left on Whispering Pines. Follow this road up a hill, and take a left on Volcan View. Go to top of hill, the lookout is across from the water tank.
To return to the Cottage: Continue on Volcan View, and take the first right onto Salton View. Follow this street until you are back at Whispering Pines, and take a right on Whispering Pines and follow road until you are back to Ridge Trail and home!

The road to Borrego Springs starts just a few blocks from the cottage, and you are there before you know it....While we love the Serpent Sculpture park because it allows dogs on its trails; there are also numerous other trails in Anza_Borrego State Park that are not to be missed (unfortunately, the State park does not allow dogs on its trails). Check out Slot Canyon Trail!
