A car is a must to get around our rural area.
In the winter (November thru April) really good SNOW tires are strongly advised. The town keeps the road to our place plowed and sanded but always drive with caution.
Mud season varies in duration and severity during March and April, the road can be slick and muddy.
Bicycle riding in Vermont is great, the back roads are so scenic. Just remember lots of hills as Vermont is anything but flat.
