One of the closer beaches to the cottage, this beach is less touristy and more of a locals vibe. Can still get quite busy on weekends though. Sunrise and a coffee from 'The Island' cafe is the way to go!

'Alex Heads' as it is known locally, a great spot for a walk along the beach and a nice swim. We like to walk the coastal pathway from Alex to Mooloolaba, highly recommend! Keep in mind it is one of the busier beaches on the coast.

Hands down the best way to see the coast! 1.5 hours total and for reasonably fit hikers. Lots of info online regarding the track. Drop into Daily Dose cafe for breaky and a coffee afterwards (or walk across to the beach for nice swim!)
