The River Wye flows alongside Tintern village and is the boarder between England and Wales. An abundance of wildlife calls the Wye its home and is a must for any nature lover. The Wye can be spotted from the A466 as you travel towards Tintern in either direction is just across the field at opposite the entrance to Redding Retreat.

Mathern Mill is around 20 minutes drive from Reddings Retreat. The Mill is located in Mathern, near Chepstow in Monmouthshire and is a watermill dating from either the late 18th or early 19th centuries. It continued in use as a functioning mill until 1968. Retaining much of its 19th century mill workings, it is now open to the public on an occasional basis. It is a Grade II* listed building. (extracted from Wikipedia)
