If staying at The Lacroix, take a stroll east down Walker Alley and you basically run into this yummy eatery. Great spot to try many of NOLA's traditional dishes like jambalaya, gumbo, and a variety of fried platters.

The Chimes is an experience! It's well-known for it's fantastic menu offerings of South Louisiana fare and it's beautiful bar featuring a huge variety of beer on tap. But the atmosphere is what truly sets The Chimes apart. There is expansive outdoor seating and a back deck that winds around and down to the waters of the Bogue Falaya River. Great family restaurant! It's a block away as the crow flies...but you'll need to travel by car from The Lacroix as it's across the river.

Megumi just opened this 2nd location on Highway 21 (the original is just south, in Mandeville) and it opened to rave reviews. Their selection of sushi rolls is extensive and the presentation is absolutely beautiful!

Just around the corner from The Lacroix, The Greyhound prides itself as a "Traditional European Gastropub". I'm not sure what that means...All I know is their food rocks!! The restaurant gets its name from the fact that the building housed the original Greyhound Bus Station in Old Covington.
