a wonderfully strange museum of oddities on the north shore. you can ride bikes to get to it from mandeville and visit the Abita Beer Brewery afterwards.
Rent a bike from Brooks then head out on the trace to Abita Springs and GO TO the UCM museum. It will give you lots of laughs so much for all... a child or grown child's delight...a must see.

This is definitely NOT your everyday museum lol. But worth a trip for sure! It's a folk art environment with 1000s of found objects and homemade inventions. It's billed as "the most intriguing and provocative museum in Louisiana". When my kids were little they BEGGED to visit here often!
