Chichester Harbour – Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is located in West Sussex and Hampshire on the south coast in England. Designated a AONB back in 1964, the AONB is a compact 74 square miles located between Chichester in the east to Hayling Island in the west. The area is known for its unspoilt coastal landscape, it is a haven for local wildlife and very popular for sailing and boating activities.

Dell Quay RoadChichester Harbour – Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is located in West Sussex and Hampshire on the south coast in England. Designated a AONB back in 1964, the AONB is a compact 74 square miles located between Chichester in the east to Hayling Island in the west. The area is known for its unspoilt coastal landscape, it is a haven for local wildlife and very popular for sailing and boating activities.
At the heart of Chichester lies the Tudor Market Cross and Norman Cathedral surrounded by a host of independent shops, designer label boutiques, stylish restaurants and pavement cafés. Ancient circular walls surround the city of Chichester with four major thoroughfares which intersect at the central Tudor Market Cross, providing not just a compass point for North, South, East and West streets but also a focal point and resting spot for busy visitors.
The magnificent Cathedral, with its spire dominating the skyline, combines historic architecture with a varied and world-famous collection of modern art, including in its treasures a window by Marc Chagall and a John Piper tapestry.
Chichester’s award winning Pallant House Gallery showcases some of the country’s best collections of 20th Century British art. Galleries display work by Peter Blake, Lucian Freud, Walter Sickert, Richard Hamilton and many more. Likewise, the University’s Otter Gallery boasts a distinguished collection of 20th century British art, supported by a number of private galleries in the city with a range of collections.
