This was the largest Roman palace north of the Alps. You will see beautiful mosaic floors preserved in situ. Near Chichester and within easy reach of Steyning. Pre booking required at present (Sept 2020)

5 mins walk from the cottage. Some interesting mosaic floor pieces and an example of Roman underfloor heating! Helpful guides and guided tours. During school holidays extra events such as Roman food tasting and bread making as well as re-enactments. Always check before you go as these are listed on the Fishbourne Roman Palace website

A lovely insight into the Roman history of the area. See the ornate mosaic floors and relics in the museum. Great for kids with a small craft zone and dress up.
