Notting Hill is one of the most famous areas of central London. Its reputation as an exciting and vibrant, multicultural enclave is well deserved. Popular with celebrities and tourists, the area has been the centre of the largest street carnival in Europe, The Notting Hill Carnival, since the first waves of immigrants from the former colonies in the Caribbean came to settle in the area in the 1950s.
