We'll meet outside York Library for a gentle 3 hour Photowalk, giving us loads of time for stories & photos. Along the way, I will provide tips and advice on how to capture captivating images of the city you will want to share. This is a friendly walk in a small group and we always take the time to introduce ourselves so that you will feel part of the group. We start with the stunning vaulted remains of the medieval hospital, the only surviving Roman walls you can walk on and the remains of the Roman fortress. We'll take the secret entrance into the enchanting Museum gardens to walk amongst the ruins of St Mary's Abbey. From there it's Henry VIII's glorious King's Manor and then through the ancient gateway for some spectacular and unusual views of York Minster. We will view the Minster up close and explore the alleyways to find the oldest house in the city, Barley Hall and the historic street of the ladies of the night. We will follow the Viking route back into the bustle, diverting into a stunning hidden church, you'll want to capture before we show you views of the Shambles most visitors miss. Then we take in York's best-kept secret Fossgate, before a hidden alley takes into a stunning Medieval Guildhall followed by a riverside walk to York Castle. Finally, it is a charming riverside walk before we complete our tour in the heart of the cit Other things to note This is mostly an easy walk on solid ground, however, it does involve some stairs to access the city walls. I will make your visit to Leeds memorable by providing you with an exceptional photoshoot. We will be walking together discovering the landmarks of the city; meeting at Corn Exchange Leeds, then passing through Kirkgate Market, and the famous Victorian Arcades. At the same time, I will be directing you to the best spots for taking photos; creating your magnificent memories in Leeds. Do not worry about posing, everyone's smile is special, be natural and smile for the camera! After the photoshoot, and within 48 hours I will send you up to 20 edited digital photos of you! Other things to note Wear comfortable shoes, as we will be walking around the old town of Leeds.

Get your hands dirty in the pottery studio! You'll learn how to throw on a wheel and some simple creative techniques to make your pots special. Everyone will at the very least produce a cup and a dish, you'll be able to decorate your work and it'll be included in our next wood kiln firing. Other things to note This experience is tailored for people who are creative, you don't need any experience of pottery... but if you do, great, you can really push your creativity.

Do you want to live in a greener, more sustainable way? Are you worried about climate change? Do you want to eat more fruit and vegetables? Do you want to start growing things? Are you interested in learning more about keeping chickens, and beekeeping? This tour will inspire you to get started . . . You will: • Tour the vegetable garden. Discuss permaculture, inter-cropping, perennials, no-dig, pests. Enter the greenhouse and see the hotbox and its crops: early salad, melons, tomatoes and grapes. See and discuss composting and (leaf) mulching. • Tour the fruit and nut trees. Discuss growing , grafting and crossing apples and other fruit. See cordons, step-overs, espalier, standards. See sweet chestnut, cobs and walnuts. See a family tree with three apple varieties. • See the 10+ varieties of soft fruit in the fruit cage. • Feed the chickens and check for eggs. Discuss chicks, dual-purpose birds and general care. • Watch the bees, and learn more about beekeeping. Try on a bee suit. Taste the honey. • Walk along the (planted) foraging hedge with many different types of pollen and fruit for humans / bees. See the pears grafted to hawthorn. • See the turkeys and discuss (Sep to Dec!). • See the solar panels, wood pellet boiler, smart meter. Discuss all the energy systems. • Hear a little history of 1870 Farlands House, and Hayfield village inc the dam and the Kinder Trespass. Other things to note Can't find a suitable date? Please get in touch. We will be walking/standing for 90 mins. Great walking from the door in the Peak District National Park. You are welcome to leave a car before/after.

A one day course will introduce you to the tools and techniques of greenwoodworking. Starting with wood in its log form you will cleave and shape the timber using traditional tools and techniques. Skills covered include timber selection, cleaving, side axing and shaping timber on a shave horse and many more. You will go home with your own hand crafted stool with a solid oak top. Other things to note We will be working outside some of the time so please check weather before hand and dress accordingly.
