Parks & Nature
Check out this boardwalk over the scenic estuary for up close views of nature and wildlife. There is a Bald Eagles family which nests in the tree tops above. They are often visible from the platform at the end of the walkway that overlooks Lake Palatlakaha. The walkway is difficult to find...park all the way towards the rear of the park near the playground and walk towards the trees to find the path. This overlook is also great for sunset when the Cyprus trees and waterline are a picture postcard backdrop.
Palatlakaha Recreation Park
1250 12th StCheck out this boardwalk over the scenic estuary for up close views of nature and wildlife. There is a Bald Eagles family which nests in the tree tops above. They are often visible from the platform at the end of the walkway that overlooks Lake Palatlakaha. The walkway is difficult to find...park all the way towards the rear of the park near the playground and walk towards the trees to find the path. This overlook is also great for sunset when the Cyprus trees and waterline are a picture postcard backdrop.
