Excellent curry house with lots of good Trip Advisor attention. We have been several times and have had really tasty food.. my favourite is King Prawn Chilli Garlic..but that's probably a boy thing! Has recently changed venue and is now situated next to the Leisure Centre.

Drinks & Nightlife
Small, friendly black and white pub with loads of atmosphere good bar food and plenty of local gossip. Popular at peak times so advisable to book for food. They also run a local Taxi service called Merlin Cars.

The Lost Arc has the most interesting food in Rhayader. Fresh tasty and made on the premises includes Vegan and Veggie. Wood fired Pizza night on Fridays as well as themed specials. Indoor and out door covered seating. It is Rhayader's go to Music/Arts venue, run by two crazily enthusiastic ex teachers who have converted a former cinema/supermarket into an exciting new venue. We have had, Folk, Ska, Hip hop, Reggae, Shakespeare, Songs from the Shows etc and all the acts have been of the highest calibre. The vibe is informal, quirky and welcoming. It is highly recommended by us and we do spend a lot of time there!

And 'Winter, Spring Summer or Fall' it changes character.. Pippa prefers Autumn and I love the spring!
Totally unspoilt lakes and mountains linked by an ingenious Victorian dam system.
You can walk (from stroll to adventurous), cycle, (mtb-road bike) or drive. It has the Elan Valley Trail- up to 18 miles of relatively flat family friendly cycling.
Then there is the wild life; Red Kites, Red Starts, Peregrines, Buzzards, Ravens, Flycatchers etc
Fishing of course, native Brown Trout and Stocked Rainbows
Dark Sky Reserve...stunning star-scapes in crystal clear skies. Well I could go on, but just come and see for yourselves!

Its actually a very good craft shop but there wasn't a category for that! Rhayader also has a surprising number of good antique shops. Oh yes and we have just got a brand new Co-op store which everyone is disproportionately excited about!
