This is a very trendy safe place to go have a good time. It is not the cheapest but overall is very clean, safe and close to home. Using Uber type in "Centro Comercial Caminos del Inca" charge should be around 10-12 soles ($3-4 dollars) Enter the mall and head to the last floor. You will find the bars/restaurants and nightclubs in the last floors.

Sightseeing

Centro Historico de Lima, is the Historic old downtown of Lima, It has breathtaking architecture and rich history of Lima. You can take an UBER or I can arrange a cab to Plaza San Martin and start your walk there. I recommend you go there early and grab breakfast there at one the cafe's in the area. The Cathedral is amazing and stay for the change of guard at 12pm.

Larcomar is really a mall but is a great place to walk around and has a great beach view. The restaurants and bars have beach views and is a good spot to just relax and unwind for a few hours. You will also find parks nearby.

Parks & Nature

Relaxing spot to go for a stroll while you are on your trip. Close to home. The park is full of olive trees and is very very relaxing. San Isidro is also a great area to grab some food as they have amazing restaurants and cafes. I'll mention a few in restaurants area.

Tanta is one of the many great restaurants San Isidro has to offer. I recommend this place as I've always had a good eating experience at this place. However, as I said San Isidro and Lima in general has some amazing places to eat. Ask your host and I can give you a list of places. This place is in the district of San Isidro a short distance away in a taxi/uber

Arts & Culture

Great Museum to visit and see an introduction to pre-Inca civilizations. This is great place to relax, enjoy some Peruvian food and treats and also learn about the Pre-Inca culture. The art can be a little strong for kids so be warn that if you are sensitive to these things I would suggest not taking kids.
