My favorite restaurant in town! Chef and local favorite, Jack, makes amazing dishes that are so good you might cry. His specials are always on point. Upscale but not too hoity-toity. You've never had french fries this good.

Old fashioned soda shoppe done right! Doug and his staff offer a nostalgic spread of quality food and treats. Best milkshakes for 100 miles! Be sure and ask Doug about the "Hafa Adai" sign on the door.

You must have a beer at The Tavern, one of the oldest buildings in Abingdon. While the steak and German influenced cuisine are delicious, you must at least belly up to the bar at this REAL tavern for a beer or enjoy a glass of wine on the patio with or without dinner. Be sure and get a good story or two out of Max while you're there. You don't want to miss The Tavern experience.

Parks & Nature

AKA "the Muster Grounds" is the sight where the troops from the region gathered for the Revolutionary War. Walk here! From my driveway, walk straight across Stone Mill Rd. onto Hurt St. Follow Hurt St. until you see the town houses and on your left will be a path to the meadow and pond behind the historic home. It's an easy 5 minute walk. Great place for a picnic by the pond. There is a also a short walking trail you can take starting at the bridge by the pond.

Drinks & Nightlife

Lots of free live music at Wolf Hills Brewery. Eclectic, casual and family friendly. Plan to eat before or after unless Tony's Taco Truck happens to be on site that night.
