Durham Cafe

A cozy cafe with a constant burbling murmur of conversation punctuated with frequent laughter. Friendly wait staff, and quirky rooster themed decor round out the ambiance. Kids are welcome. Portions are generous. Typical diner style breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers and some pub favourites like fish and chips or chicken fingers. I really like the Philly cheesesteak sandwich.

While I’ve not had the pleasure of enjoying this coffee shop myself, I’ve heard great things about their beverages. They are actively engaged with our community and host events during our pride week and to fundraise for local charities

Lindsay Farmer's Market

The main farmers market has been running for years and new this year we have a satellite Thursday market. Offers the typical mix of jewellery and other home crafts, stunning local produce and baked goods. There is a cheese vendors I spend way too much money at as well as incredible hand made Russian pierogies- including dessert and even vegan pierogies.

Locally owned yarn store, home of Tangled Gypsies, a sock yarn hand dyed here in town by the lovely Heather, who is also owner of the store. If you’re the crafty type and like collecting souvenir yarns on your travels, this is the place to be. The girls who work the shop are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and there are many workshops and knit along a as well as a drop in Thursday night stitch and bitch.
