Most of our guests arrive by car, occasionally by bicycle, and a few by train which takes around 2 hours from Sydney.
The station is a $15 taxi ride from the cottage. There's usually a taxi waiting.

Sightseeing
Pulpit Rock lookout and bushwalk is a 20 minute walk away. You can expect fantastic views over much of the Grose Valley. See some of our photos .

Hat Hill is a short bushwalk that takes you to the top of Hat Hill. It offers 360 degree views from Mount Banks, the Grose Valley and on a clear day even as far as Sydney!

The Grand Canyon is a historic walk that wends its way though a deep and dark canyon. The walk takes around three hours, but you can cut it shorter. Take your camera - it's a great experience.

Also Wind Eroded Cave is just a few minutes away - it's best to visit them both together.

This is the lookout that is most easily accessible by car - you get to see the spectacular Grose River and Valley from the car park.
The NPWS visitor centre is also located there.

A longer day walk is down into the Grose Valley to visit the magnificent Blue Gum Forest. Hat Hill Cottage is probably the best possible place to start your trip.
