BEST COFFEE and all day breakfast. It's about 15 minutes from the apartment, more in central Tulum town, it has the most delicious healthy dishes and yummy bakery. Very nice to go with your computer and work for a few hours.

Tulum Ruins is one of the main attraction. It's the only ruins built close to the sea and has this very strong energy you can feel the minute you walk in. It's only about a 1 hour visit and guides are recommended! Dont forget your swim suit since there is a way down to the beach where to linger for a bit and cool off from the sun. Take mosquito repelent too! It opens at 8 AM until 5PM. Fee from $65 MX to $150 MX depending on the time of year.

Sian Ka'an was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and it remains the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean. It is also a must if you come to Tulum. There are several tours that can take you there and include boat trip, snorkeling, lunch & drinks, floating through emerald water canals, see from turtles to dolphins and even crocodiles. The beach is amazingly beautiful, white sand and turquoise waters. You can also go y car and stop whenever you like.

There is always something going on: whether is ladies soccer games at the public court or friends spontaneously gathered to play basket ball. You can easily find some food carts for tamales or corn treats and my favourite Marquesitas that is bassicaly ice cream cone pastry with nutella! There are several local restaurants as well. All Mexican style.

This is the main supermarket in town. It's about 10 minutes from the apartment. It has 9 different ATM machines and all kinds of products that you may need. They also have a very efficient delivery system you can easily active on internet.
Besides this, there are plenty of fruit and vegetable stores near by for small shopping.

Getting Around
This is the only bus station in town. You can take buses to pretty much anywhere you want to go. Across the street from them you'll find the stop for the minibuses that go back and forth to Playa Del Carmen for $35-$45 MX, they don't allow luggage on these ones though.
