Food Scene

Great coffee and cakes and a quiet, walled garden at the back. A lovely place to hide away and chill for a few moments.

The perfect place to warm up after a sea swim session. Hot chocolate or bean stew. Gazing out over the bay, review, reflect, remembering the open water amphitheatre on IM day. Great for veggies and vegans too.

Delicious home made cakes, great coffee, stunning view of Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry Tudor (Henry VII) who defeated King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field, the culmination of the Wars of the Roses. A favourite refuelling stop when cycling the Freshwater West/Angle loop. only 10 miles back to Tenby over the Ridgeway.

Delicious, modern British cooking in an intimate period building with a medieval Flemish chimney, plus bar. The Seafood Platter is to die for. Retire downstairs to the Quay room, designed to help you relax. A roaring log fire in winter is an added bonus.

Had a great meal, here the night before Ironman last year. Locally sourced ingredients, including fresh seafood, served in a stylish, rustic setting.

My favourite run session. Take the 349 bus, hop of at Manorbier, walk past the 11th century castle, birthplace of Giraldus Cambrensis, also called Gerald Of Wales. Cross the beach and climb onto the coast path, past a Neolithic burial chamber. Start to run on a gorgeous soft sandstone grit path. Natures best running track. Take your time, don't be too distracted by the amazing clifftop views. On the way back to Tenby feast your eyes on some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in the World. Don't rush, absorb, marvel, cherish.

Simply the best, wild, beautiful, raw nature. Watch the rip currents though, this is an active beach with lots of power and personality!!!

Drinks & Nightlife

Traditionally a fishing pub, now with an expanded restaurant offering, Tenby mackerel, pan fried in butter or with a Cajun seasoning; sea bass with rocket and couscous salad; or mussels cooked with bacon, onions, cider and cream; even locally caught lobster is featured. Meat eaters might choose minted lamb or rib-eye steaks; steak and ale pie; or rosemary and garlic chicken.
