The beautiful river Vincou nestles below historic buildings and the beautiful Notre Dame church. Bellac has a festival dedicated to theatre and jazz each July. There are many theatre performances throughout the year and lots of restaurants and cafes. There is a market on Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday mornings.
Surrounded by a section of 15th century walls, you can enter the two by the Porte Bergere. Pretty cobbled streets will lead you to the impressive 12th century church.
There are several bars, cafes and restaurants in Le Dorat as well as banks and minibanks. Le Dorat is known for its farmers market held fortnightly throughout July & August. You are able to purchase your food from the stalls and have it barbecued there and then for you to enjoy on the tables and chairs laid out for you in the square. There is also live music

This is a place to picnic, relax and take in the beautiful scenery or partake in hose riding, water skiing, boat hire, swimming in the lake or the indoor pool. There is also an excellent tree adventure park in the woodland beside the lake which has age related activities for all the family. During the summer there are outdoor music events.
