Food Scene

Very representative of Fayetteville’s ethos and open since 1992. Located in an old train freight building just off the city’s biking trail, with a wonderful outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating. It has excellent food and specializes in crepes and coffees. Expect long wait times for breakfast on weekends, but lunch and dinner are excellent as well. A visit here is highly recommended at some point during your stay.

Established in 1977 and a favorite of everyone. It is decorated in post World War I and II memorabilia and is located down in the ground, but somehow it works. Make sure you save room for desert and order the grasshopper crepes. Always busy and will have a wait time on weekends.Great place for burgers, but try the marinated chicken or the quiches as well. For desert, order the grasshopper crepes.

The bar, restaurant and patio are all popular hangouts for Fayettevillians. This is the go to place for a special dinner for business or a family celebration. They make their own sausage and have an excellent carchuterie plate. The meatballs are the most popular item on the menu. One of Fayetteville's nicest restaurants.

Upscale American food served in a clubby atmosphere, plus a cocktail lounge & outdoor patio. Great place for a cozy date where the interior is a bit dark. The outdoor patio has great deals on drinks and appetizers during happy hour and is very popular in good weather. It is a good late night hangout on weekends.

This is particularly popular place for Saturday and Sunday morning brunch but is open for lunch and dinner as well. Usually there is live music at brunch and the various champagne drinks are terrific. This is more up-scale with white tablecloths and napkins, with the brunch specialty being several different types of Eggs Benedict

This is a hole in the wall, local hangout. They have great ribs and steaks. People love the garlic chicken on the menu, and I love to get the Watson's special. Everything is good. This restaurant is a Fayetteville staple. When people that went to college in Fayetteville return to the city, they say to themselves, "I have to eat at Herman's!"
