O'Reilly's is a great English Pub with a friendly atmosphere and usually live music on the weekends and sometimes midweek during the summer. Large outdoor patio for nice summer evenings. Love the fish tacos but other fine dinners for meat eaters are listed on the menu, also great salads and pasta dishes.

The historic town of Perth has some very nice shops, historic buildings with waterways through the center of town and 4 pubs within walking distance . Many festivals take place during the year like the Maple Festival, Garlic Festival, Stuart Park Music Festival and the famous Kilt Run.

Located about 15 minutes from the Sweet Suite and overlooks the lovely town of Westport and a few of the lakes in the area. Great hiking trails.

Parliment building tours and morning "Changing of the Guards" and light shows in the evening. Full of history--a great day trip. The Rideau Canal runs from the Ottawa Capital to the Saint Lawrence River that divides USA and Canada.

Merrickville is another picturesque town worth the hike with great shops from fine foods to Christmas shops and my favorite is the Alloy Foundry Co. that has great metal/iron works of art and functional housewares.
