1 Georg-Treu-PlatzThe " Mosaic Fürstenzug " a mural of 101 meters long in the street , which represents the history of the House of Wettin . More than 24,000 tiles were used to represent the nearly 100 characters that form the ensemble, conducted by Wilhelm Walther between 1872 and 1876 .

On the banks of the Altstadt is the Goldener Reiter, a golden equestrian figure representing Frederick Augustus I, " Fort " .
