If you want shopping but hate malls, I recommend U village. Free parking available. You can take a Light Rail there (University of Washington station) and visit U District later for food. U District has a ton of cheap Asian food options almost as much as International District.

Take the Seattle Monorail from the Westlake Center building (400 Pine Street, 3rd Floor) to Seattle Center. It is the most fun way to visit the Space Needle IMO. The Space Needle entrance is a few yards from the monorail station.

Located in the heart of Volunteer Park. Made up of 3,426 glass panes fit into a wood and iron framework, this Victorian-style greenhouse structure is modeled on London's Crystal Palace. Highly recommended for my fellow plant parents. Closed on Monday.

Madison Park Beach
One of the most popular swimming beaches in Seattle, Madison Beach has a grassy area where sunbathers can relax and enjoy a stunning view of Lake Washington. It is the closest beach to Capitol Hill. A very popular spot for locals -- it is where Capitol Hill peeps go for sunbathing and swimming. If you go, please try Independent Pizzeria. It is one of my favorite pizza places in Seattle.

Rinehart, Zinc, Shift and Foster/White.
