At the end of Jefferson Way (about a mile south of the house) you'll find an area where you can park and walk to the bluff where there is a stairway constructed of driftwood that leads down to nice and usually uncrowded beach.

A nice 1/2 mile hike will take you to the point where you can either hike down to the beach or just watch the ocean and goings on. Turn left on Boice (the first street to the north) and left on Ocean go about 1/4 mile and look for the access trailhead on your right.

Glass Beach is the location of the old dump. All the trash washed out to sea but most of the glass broke, sank and tumbled with the surf. You'll find polished glass mixed in with the sand.
