Because they serve authentic "pita's" prepared in a specific way covered with iron lid covered by coal. Not to greasy - as we like pita's to be not too greasy. They serve meat pie, cheese pie, potato pie, spinach pie and if you lucky pumpkin pie. It should be crowded but just stand in line, you may not get to have table on your own but it is perfectly fine if you join someone who is already sitting there, just ask. Pie to go is perfectly OK, so you can enjoy your meal at home or in the park.

Sightseeing
There are two reasons to get to see Latinska Ćuprija (Bridge) and that particular corner. The first one is that the chain of events that lead to World War I started there. That is where Gavrilo Princip shot dead Austro-Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sofia. The exact place where Gavrilo was standing is marked with concrete casts of foot soles. As Gavrilo was long dead when the concrete casting took place, someone else had to stand there. My granddad did. So that's the second reason. You can admire my granddad's foot sole casts.

House has specific architecture that illustrates the living culture of wealthier Sarajevo Muslims of 18th and 19th century. If you decide to visit, consider also visiting Despića House to see the differences and similarities with houses of Orthodox family of similar status in same period.

Because we have (small) kids. And it is less than 30 minutes drive. And they have nice playground. And they have food (some better than other). And it is colder in summer than in Sarajevo.

So it is a walk. By the river. It can be romantic, calming, easy. It is few kilometers walk starting from Vrbanja bridge to Elektroprivreda Building (or the other way around). North side is covered with trees, but the south side has its charm too. IMPORTANT: If you want to feel the calm, you should go early in the morning, otherwise you will encounter stunning view of Sarajevo diversity - thousands of people including: families, small kids, grown kids, elderly people, disabled, athletes running, kids learning to drive bicycles, roller-skates or anything that has wheels, adults thinking they can drive bicycles, police, thieves, nuns, small dogs, big dogs, popcorn, basically everybody.

Straight form the center of Sarajevo you can easily get to beautiful maintain Trebević where you can enjoy nature and the view towards the city.

They have this thing call alpine roller coaster and it is kind of fun, even tough short ride.
Now they have zip line, did not try it out myself yet. :)
