As the name suggests, the catfish is the signature dish here - find excellent, casual Creole and New Orleans style food here (the alligator bites are excellent!)

The best blueberry pancakes I've ever had, and fantastic, accommodating and friendly service. Part of a sprawling complex that encompasses the cider mill, orchard, and several gift shops with everything from Christmas decor to pies, there's plenty to do here that doesn't involve eating - but I definitely recommend it.

Just behind some shops in the Arts & Crafts district, this adorable restaurant is owned by a local couple who serve absolutely delicious home-cooked food (really! No funny diner eggs, and the best bacon I've ever had). Garry, one of the owners, is awesome to chat with, too.

Locally owned restaurant with incredibly crafted, locally sourced food, and friendly staff. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here (my favorite is their take on shrimp & grits). The bar features friendly, knowledgeable bartenders with a wide variety of craft brews on tap. My go-to for a drink (try the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale!)

Hidden behind shops in the Arts & Crafts district, Delauder's has incredible BBQ (the pulled pork is out of this world), heaping servings, and excellent prices. Be patient, it's always busy and the food is prepared to order, but it's well worth the wait!

Local dive Irish pub/sports bar - definitely THE place to catch the game/fight, or just to get some local flavor! The fried pickles are on point.

Displaced by the many chains in downtown Gatlinburg, the local artisan community is spread along Glades Road, through dozens of picturesque shops - you can find handmade goods, artisanal foods, pottery, photography, and more among the many talented local artist galleries.

Getting Around

The Gatlinburg Trolley is the best way to get around Gatlinburg, where parking can be difficult and expensive. For a small daily fare, you can ride multiple routes all around Gatlinburg (and even the National Park) - they also have park-and-ride lots, the nearest of which is at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center on US 441/US 321 aka "The Spur"
