If you just want a good old-fashioned chippy, the Gorgie Fish Bar is the best one in the area. It's only a 10-minute walk down the road but they'll also deliver if you order via Just Eat.

The Union Canal is only a five minute walk up the road and can be accessed via Harrison Park. In one direction, it offers a more scenic walk along to Fountain Park, while in the other direction you can head further out of town where it eventually joins the nature trails on the Water of Leith. Watch out for cyclists!

This is the main office for the local bus and tram operator, though it's also possible to buy day tickets on the buses and trams themselves. Most stops will either have a tracker to keep you informed of arrival times or a notice board with times and prices.
