The restaurant music Milan Cinema Theatre Trieste is a historical location in Milan. The original space used as a cinema was born in 1912 in the context of a lovely Art Nouveau building, offering screenings of the first silent films of the era. Its story evolves until the end of the 90s when the cinema suffers from the competition of the most valued multiplexes and eventually accommodates red light film until 2013 when it was finally closed by the judiciary. In 2014 the former cinema reopens as a restaurant-wine bar with an open kitchen. Needless to say, the local has been completely renovated while keeping the original style with the big screen, the outdoor area with an iron staircase that leads directly to the projection room and a gallery of about 160 seats. Just below the central screen a stage has been set where alternating bands play live music ranging from acoustic, ethnic, instrumental, jazz, blues, singer-songwriters and world music. Reserve at (+39)02-39.21.54.16

Parks & Nature

The design of Parco Vittoria, by architects Charles Jencks and Andreas Kipar, includes several unusual elements, and it is based on the general theme of time. It will comprise a large round lake, with a strip-shaped promontory that will allow pedestrians to walk to the center of the lake itself. A helix shaped hill (called "The Spiral of Time") will provide a panoramic view of the city; an artistic representation of the double DNA helix will be placed on top of the hill. Both the lake and the hill will be part of a park section called "Time Garden", partitioned into three areas dedicated to prehistory, history and present times.

Informally called Montagnetta di San Siro ("Little mountain of San Siro") is an artificial hill and surrounding city park. Established in the 1950s, has an overall area of 370,000 m². The eponymous hill was created using the debris from the buildings that were bombed during World War II, as well as from the last remnants of the Spanish walls of the city, demolished in the mid 20th century. Even at only 25 m height, the hill provides a panoramic view of the city and hinterland, and in a clear day, the Alps and Apennines can be distinguished from atop. A notable area of the park is called "Giardino dei Giusti" (Garden of the Just), which is a memorial to distinguished opponents of genocide and crimes against humanity; each tree in the garden is dedicated to one such person. Notable people who have been dedicated a tree in the Giardino dei Giusti include Moshe Bejski, Andrej Sakharov, Svetlana Broz, and Pietro Kuciukian.

Is a former Carthusian monastery, or charterhouse, located on the outskirts of Milan, Italy, in the Garegnano district. It now houses a community of Capuchin Friars. The monastery, dedicated to Saint Ambrose but also known as Our Lady of the Lamb of God, was founded in 1349 by Giovanni Visconti, bishop and lord of Milan. It was then located some 4 kilometers from the walls of Milan. In the 14th century it housed, among others, the poet Petrarch. It was pillaged in 1449 when the Visconti dynasty fell. It was suppressed under the rationalist reforms of the Emperor Joseph II, Milan then being under Austrian rule, and became a parish church in 1782. In 1960 the surviving buildings and parochial duties were taken over by the Capuchin Friars. The present buildings date from the 16th and 17th centuries. The main artworks include a cycle of frescos in the main church by Simone Peterzano (1578) and Daniele Crespi (1629). The chapter house contains, in the vault, a fresco of Saint Michael by Bernardo Zenale of the early 16th century.
