Tamraght cafes

Family-friendly cafe in Tamraght with plenty of shade and pretty wooden tables on a beautiful leafy terrace. The staff are fantastic, super friendly and accommodating all needs. Their varied and affordable menu offers a mix of healthy colourful juices, creatively served salads, breakfast classics such as smashed avocado & egg, and other European/Moroccan dishes. We love their coffees, especially the cappuccino with a large dollop of thick cream! The owners have kids, and they are welcomed. Selection of books to dip in to whilst you enjoy the chilled cafe vibes. Fibre optic WIFI. Check their social media for Live Music/ Open Mic nights, usually 1/2 a week, and other community events.

Let's Be Opened in 2018, recently moved to a new premises, next door to the original. Same stunning African-inspired interiors, a little more space inside and the kitchen is now upstairs. For those who like plant-based, vegan, vegetarian, healthy food, or just a fresh and colourful menu. Their smoothies and juices are packed with superfoods such as spirulina, bee pollen and chia. Beautifully presented breakfast pancakes, Buddha bowl style salads, fresh tacos, pizzas, and sweet treats such as home-made raw chocolates and 'nice'-cream. More pricey than other cafes in the area but worth it as a healthy, aesthetic cafe-style treat. Check their social media for more details.

We love the style of Munga Guesthouse and Favela, a luxury boutique hotel and fine dining restaurant, both are great for a splurge if your budget allows. We were thrilled when they opened Munga Kitchen, a new casual, relaxed wine bar/ dining option. Super popular with holidaymakers and local residents, it offers a well-priced menu and great friendly atmosphere. Design is super chic, with driftwood, beach vibes, it is cool, friendly and aesthetically interesting. The bar area gets busy, you will need to book for a table outside, inside, as well as downstairs in a cosy cellar-style room. We particularly love their home-made pizzas! Check their website for more info.

Red Clay Cafe This lovely new addition, with friendly and foodie expert owners, opened in July 2022. A vegan cafe which keeps selling out of produce due to popularity. We visited on a Friday and loved the fresh coffee and creative brunch menu with lots of twists. Salty msemen with fried mushrooms and a vegan ricotta. Also highly recommend their delicious brioche buns! It’s the only place we have heard of in the area that offers decaf coffee in Morocco.
