I've heard it's the best in the area. I'm afraid of heights and happily take my family and friends' word for it.

Tallest waterfall in the Smoky's. Check for closings as bridges were recently washed out. This is a strenuous 8-mile round trip hike but absolutely worth the effort. At the Greenbrier park entrance.

Not many people know about the steam engine that feel upside down into a creek bed. It was brought into the backwoods to cut lumber and fell into the creek after a sharp turn on the return trip. This trail also features many rhododendron tunnels and rock walls. Access the trail from behind the Greenbrier Ranger Station. Be sure to take a map along on this lesser marked trail and always let someone know where you’re going when you head into the woods.
