This is a small town about 12 miles from edinburgh, a nice short journey by Bus or Car to give you a taste of the countryside with some nice little craft shops cafes and walks along the river and stunning views, you can also hop on a mountain Bike and follow the local trails.

No other major City has shops on one side of the Main Street and a Park on the other which means you can relax after shopping with a spectacular view of the castle and some ancient houses to keep you company. There are other parks within walking distance, such as the meadows where you can play golf in one of the oldest golf courses in the world and the Botanical Gardens which has a restaurant and 3 Cafes with seating outside for good weather.All Access is free.
