City/Town Recommendations
Burnsville is a quintessential mountain town full of charm and history. Visit Town Square and stroll through town stopping in to the many locally-owned shops, restaurants and galleries. Get your morning coffee and breakfast at Appalachian Java and then walk around town and visit the different galleries and shops. Enjoy an afternoon ice cream cone at Ye Olde Country Store and then walk over to Villagers, an awesome local shop featuring all things to do with homesteading.

Asheville is a fun and vibrant city full of music, food, craft beer, art and lots of events! Park downtown in one of the lots of in an open parking space (free after 6pm and all day Sunday) and just walk around and explore all of the amazing things going on. If you are in town on a Friday night, check out the drum circle downtown at Pritchard Park, its an experience! Across the street is the S & W Market Food Court which allows you to choose from all kinds of local options in one space. If you are into breweries, check out the South Slope area which features 8 breweries all within this small area. You will never get bored!

If you have dog(s) be sure to check out The Wagbar - great space for your dogs to run around and make friends while you enjoy a delicious beverage.

Weaverville
Weaverville is sweet town between Burnsville and Asheville. There is a small Main Street with a few great restaurants, breweries and galleries. You can also find the closest Publix in Weaverville. My favorite restaurants are Blue Mountain Pizza (also a brewery!), Well Bred Cafe for any dessert your heart desires and Stoney Knob for a fantastic meal, anytime of day. If you have dog(s) be sure to check out The Wagbar - great space for your dogs to run around and make friends while you enjoy a delicious beverage.
Spruce Pine is just down the road from Burnsville and is a small but sweet town. Spruce Pine has 2 Main Streets (Upper St and Lower St). Check out the Toe River Arts Council Gallery featuring 100 local artisans. Fox and the Fig is a great coffee shop with coffee, tea and baked treats. Bierdock is a great local brewery and they also serve food.
