My personal favorite: Take the watertaxi across the river (EUR5) to this beautiful tiny old town & hand yourself over to the welcoming atmosphere & incredible food & wine! Great for a special evening!

A must-do for every new tourist to NL! Poffertjes are like tiny, thick pancakes: served with butter & icing sugar. Not great for your waistline, but oh so delicious! This venue is very child-friendly.
