This park has many different hike options which can range from easy to medium. Lots of different views of the mountains, city, and trees. Depending on the path you choose this is a popular spot so it may be somewhat crowded, but usually worth it!

This is an easy hike near the west side of town. Best in the fall if you go up the ridge and overlook the color changing trees. Not too crowded usually either which is nice.

This trails runs along the front range in Colorado Springs but extends all the way from New Mexico all the way to Denver. Is mostly an easy walking trail but does have some very rocky terrain in there that can make it a difficult hike.

This short & easy hike can be made into a loop and then finished by grabbing a bite to eat at a near by shop. There is a small pretty lake about half way. It’s very peaceful and not too populated.

This is one of the more well known tourist attractions, for good reason though. Enjoy easy-difficult hikes through out the park, all while enjoying beautiful nature. This is also a great spot for rock climbing… but maybe not for beginners.

This is a very popular hike and is about medium difficulty. Gorgeous scenery in the woods located at the foothills of the mountain. If you venture on this trail & want an extra adrenaline rush I would HIGHLY recommend the Broadmoor Adventure Ziplines. This was one of the most exhilarating experiences we’ve ever had.

If you venture on this trail & want an extra adrenaline rush I would HIGHLY recommend the Broadmoor Adventure Ziplines. This was one of the most exhilarating experiences we’ve ever had.
This is an awesome experience to truly enjoy part of all that Colorado has to offer. You get a little hike in as well and some spectacular views!

This is one of 2 rival hotels since the beginning of this town. Many presidents and celebrities stay here when they visit this beautiful town. It’s very beautiful (especially during the holidays when it’s all lit up) and has a lot of history.

This is a cute local Italian restaurant in Old Colorado City neighborhood. The food never disappoints and the service is excellent. This dinner has been around for a long time and is a well known locals haven. They are known for their famous green chili smothered burrito. The portions here are HUGE.

If you’ve never had Brazilian food I highly recommend going to this restaurant. Not only is the food delicious, it’s a whole experience. The Brazilian cheese balls and Brazilian lemonade have a permanent place on my cravings list. This place offers a very unique experience.

This is one of the most uniques venues you’ll ever go to for a drink or food. This elementary school-turned-brewery & bar has some good times waiting for you. This place is comprised of multiple restaurants, bars, brewery’s, and coffee shops within the school making for an all in one bar hopping experience. Sometimes it even features food trucks by the “playground”. Honorable mentions within the venue are Axe & Oak Whiskey House, The Principals Office, & Bristol Brewery.

This is my favorite bar. It has a boho chic vibe and some of the most unique curated cocktails. They did recently become primarily an event space, but are still open to the public sometimes. Just call or check their Insta before heading over to make sure they are open.

Scooters vs Uber/Lyft
Colorado Springs is not very walkable. Downtown and other more populated and touristy areas scootering will get you most places, but for the rest of the town the best bet is to have a car. Parking is pretty easy most places if you want to rent a car, but if you don’t rent a car it’s fairly easy to catch an Uber/Lyft as well.

Bi-Polar Weather
Colorado is know to have ever changing weather. It can be sunny and 85 and then an hour later be blizzarding (I’m not exaggerating, many people end up wearing shorts in a blizzard because it was sunny when they left their house an hour ago). Pack layers and be prepared for cooler evening and rain or a very hot and dry day.

Drink LOTS of water- There’s not much oxygen up here
If you’re visiting from sea level or close to sea level make sure you are drinking enough WATER (especially if you’re drinking alcohol and outside a lot) & wearing SUNSCREEN! The sun hits hard up here and that combined with lack of extra water can easily cause heat exhaustion. Please be careful!
