Visit the Cathedral and the beautiful Close. Take the tour up Britain's tallest spire and visit the many museums and houses around The Close. The Cathedral also houses one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta is recognised as the foundation of the doctrine of habeas corpus - that no man can be imprisoned without trial.
You may recognise Mompesson House from period dramas, such as Sense and Sensibility starring Emma Thompson, Kate Winslett and Hugh Grant
