Edinburgh Walks and Hills
Lovely, usually quiet, Botanical gardens by Duddingston, a pretty historical village at foot of Arthur's Seat. Duddingston also has a loch, kirk (church), cobbled streets and is home to The Sheip's Heed, where Mary Queen of Scots and several royals visited. It is said to be the oldest pub in Scotland.
From Duddingston village you can walk through a working garden, and orchard up to Holyrood Park, and Arthur's Seat.
