6, Gumpendorfer Str. 134/136, 1060 Wien, Austria Like the Hundertwasserhaus, the municipal residential building was designed by a well-known Viennese artist, Arik Brauer. The planning was carried out on behalf of MA 19 - Architecture and Urban Design by Peter Pelikan, who had already worked with Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The model was presented to the public on January 27, 1987, the house was built from 1991 to 1994 and opened in April 1994 by Mayor Helmut Zilk. The house is not far from the Gumpendorfer Straße underground station on the U6 line and near the Raimundtheater.

No other ice cream will ever come close to this one. Rich flavour, perfectly balanced natural aromas and sweetness. Tichy is probably Vienna’s most famous ice-cream parlor and popular final destination of many lazy Sunday afternoons. Klaus Tichy, the owner, has his own unique ice cream recipe, which will provide you with a taste, you’ve never experienced before. He manages to redefine common flavors like vanilla, blueberry or hazelnut. Tichy also invented its famous “Eismarillenknödel”, some sort of iced apricot dumpling, which is a category of taste itself. Love it or hate it, Tichy offers a way to experience, like you never did before and if you are into ice-cream, there is no way around Tichy. Tichy Reumannplatz 13, 1100 Vienna

Wienerbergstraße 7/22. Stock, 1100 Wien, Austria Very nice restaurant on the 22nd floor of the Holiday Inn. Fantastic view across the city of Vienna and far beyond. Late Afternoon to sunset recommended. Friendly staff, good service; high-quality food although the menu is rather small; the only steak offered was flank steak, by nature rather chewy. Highly recommended. Fair prices. Proper wine selection.

Antonie-Alt-Gasse 2, 1100 Wien, Austria Spacious, laid-back pick offering Austrian & Mediterranean plates such as grilled meats & falafel. We are enriching the neighborhood since 2015 and always try to meet the wishes of our guests and we do our best in order that none of their wishes will remain unfulfilled. Whether for the lunch-break, the afternoon coffee, dinner or after work drink, the Mediterranean brunch on Saturdays or Sundays – our restaurant is as diverse as we are. As well as the restaurant we also offer a lounge area, consisting of a generous and communicative bar. Smokers will certainly find their sheltered spot in front of the restaurant. We are glad to welcome you in our comfortable “Schanigarten” pavement café. Our little guests will enjoy the huge traffic-free grass play area (within range of the parents).
