A stunning gorge walk, then a meandering valley ending with a beautiful waterfall. The iconic elephant rock is half way song the gorge. The colour of the water is a vivid emerald green. Local cafes are available for refreshments at the top of the gorge.

Almost lakeside, small cafes, 2 small supermarkets, ATM, tourist information office, a few hotels to eat in, Pr Mihovc the best choice in my opinion. A good place to buy supplies or get tourist info. The Triglav national park office is located here too.

Hire a bike to get around!
Bohinj streets are small & can get crowded easily, especially close to the lake. It’s lovely to move about in the valley by bike. I recommend Grega at Hike&Bike or PAC Sports for your hire.
