Food scene

Walk a few blocks from the apartment in either direction for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Mt. Adams Bar & Grill on Hatch is a neighborhood institution. A few doors down you’ll find Luca Bistro which offers delicious and reasonably priced food prepared by its French chef and owner. El Barril on Pavilion & St. Gregory is a lively Mexican restaurant and bar with outdoor space and tvs for sports watching. Just across the street is the Bow Tie Cafe, a wonderful coffee shop and cafe where you can start the day with breakfast and a cup of coffee and end the day with a glass of wine. Down the hill is City View Tavern, a quirky little place with a limited grill menu, limited hours, and a deck with an awesome view. A short drive from Mt. Adams is the East Walnut Hills neighborhood. You’ll find many excellent dining options there: Cafe Mochiko (Japanese), Fireside Pizza, Gomez Salsa (Mexican), La Bar a Boeuf (fine dining), Rusk Kitchen + Bar, Solstice (tropical flavors), and Heydey (burgers).
