Try Fratellini’s signature dish, their local sand crab and chilli spaghettini. Their iced coffees are pretty impressive too.

Creative and delicious Asian fusion dishes. This used to be down the road on Duke Street, but they became so popular, they had to move to a much larger premises, and so now, they are an 8 minute drive away, in Noosaville. It’s worth the trip!

You don’t have to go in to Hastings Street for great ice cream any more. The Scoop @4567 (Noosa’s postcode) is down at the Junction. And whilst we haven’t listed them here (as new ones are popping up nearly every month), there are some great restaurants in the Junction, on Sunshine Beach Road, and Arcadia Street. Have a walk past as the sun is going down, and the lights are coming on. After you’ve finished a fine meal then you can pop over to The Scoop for dessert, right in the middle of everything.

Whilst Bistro C is one of our favourites, make sure to have a potter along Hastings Street and view the menus of all of the restaurants; there’s something for everyone. As the sun goes down, the lights in the trees come on, and it takes on the ‘Noosa magic’.

The view from The Sunset Bar of Noosa Boathouse Restaurant is aptly named; enjoy a sundowner drink with this view

Take a trip to Eumundi on a Wednesday or Saturday morning for a potter around the small town and its famous markets. Get there early though, as the markets are closed by 2pm. There are plenty of food stalls available for a nice lunch too. If you like ginger beer - non alcoholic - be sure to grab one from the keg; they are freshly made locally, preservative free, and delicious.

There are several companies who will take you to Fraser Island (K’gari) from Noosa for the day. It’s a long day, but quite an adventure. Be sure to see the clear blue waters of Lake McKenzie.

There is much to do in this area. From the cute town of Montville, with its tearooms and fudge shops, to the lovely drive through to Conondale, along the Mary River to Kenilworth (bring your cool box to stock up on delicious cheeses from the dairy, and grab a great latte while you’re there) and Obi Obi, and hiking trails through Kondalilla and Mapleton National Parks. LOTS to see here.

Include on a trip to Maleny, Montville area, if you can. Great view of the Glasshouse Mountains, short rainforest walk with the chance of seeing pademelons, and a good interactive information centre for children. Not far away is Maleny Dairies, where children can feed the calves and you can learn about a great family run dairy (with wonderful products), then 5 minutes away from there, is Gardners Falls, where you can take a dip (best to go there on a weekday, as weekends can get busy).
