It's a cute restaurant tucked away in Hyde Park with plenty of parking. The intimate seating with a nice open kitchen was a great setting for the night. Its white pizza with truffle oil is superb.

It's a great neighborhood spot to get a cappuccino and read in the morning, eat a locally-sourced meal with a friend in the afternoon, or have gelato and drink a martini with a date in the evening.

I love Tamale house #3, honest food, cash only, delicious salsa, no AC in summer. Truly an Austin institution.
You can walk out with brunch for 2 for under $5, and it tastes like 10x that much.

Good vegetarian option within a stone's throw. On the weekends, the breakfast tacos are healthful AND good! I would just walk over, order, back for some garden work, then pick up my tacos!!!

It is a neighborhood establishment within a stone's throw. The old house restaurant has the advantage of several beautiful small side rooms. The fries are heavenly for me who is crazy about dieting.

Within biking distance. In a newish establishment called Triangle. It's an Italian market for cheese, meats, baked goods, and gelato. My son loved their gelato and angelette cookies.

Quirky, fun place to hang out. The hodgepodge of chairs, tables and the fence made out of vintage metal headboards give the place a very intentional yard-sale scrapyard feel that totally works.

One of my favorite taste explosions as a UT student. Reasonably priced, tasty and very filling. Tight parking situation.

The airplanes used to go above it with the old Austin airport nearby, hence the name. It offers all attributes of a typical Austin buzz institution and does so in a very cool neighborhood corridor.

Within biking distance. Gyro, baklava, dolmas, fresh 99cent pita bread! Love their chicken shawarma sandwich warm!!! The meat is tender and very flavorful-- seems like a lot of lime juice and onion.
