One of my favourite walks are around the coastal path. There are the most beautiful views. If you walk out of the cottage towards the pier and up the steep hill towards Castellamare, you take a left at Fortes ice cream parlour past Castellamare and that will take you onto the coastal path. If you follow the path along it will take you to Rotherslade beach and the next beach along is Langland. That would probably take an hour and a half but it’s absolutely beautiful. You can always stop for a drink in Langland Bras too. If you follow the steep hill up from Rotherslade Beach, it will lead you back to Mumbles. It’s much quicker but quite steep!

There is a lovely loop walk in the area of Southgate. You would need to drive and park in the National Trust car park, then if you walk to the right. Once you get to the big sand dune, keep to the right and you will come back to the village of Southgate. I would recommend talking a map if you are thinking of doing this walk.

If you like walking, we recommend walking out onto the stunning Worms Head in Rhossili. You will need to check tide times before you set off - if the tide is in you can’t get out onto the Worm or if you go at the wrong time the tide may cut you off. You can find information on the current tide times online. There is also a hut before you get onto the Worm which gives you up to date tide times. You can park in the National Trust car park by the Worms Head Hotel. The hotel also serves pub grub and drinks with the most gorgeous view of the Worm and Llangennith beach.
